Canada to receive 168,000 Moderna vaccines by end of December
The Moderna vaccine is still in the final stages of its review by Health Canada but Trudeau says deliveries could begin within 48 hours of the department’s experts giving it the green light. Canada has contracted to receive two million doses from Moderna by the end of March, and 40 million by the end of 2021.
Moderna is among the producers of leading vaccine candidates with which Canada has struck procurement agreements. Canada has agreed to buy 56 million doses from Moderna and 20 million from Pfizer.
